Built between 1961 and 1967 Australia Square was one of the first modern internationally styled office towers in Australia. Designed by one of Australia's leading Architects, Harry Seidler, Australia Square established new principles in design and construction through its distinctive circular form and the creation of a large public open space at ground level. 

The public area includes a café and bar with indoor and outdoor seating, a central fountain, and landscaping. 

Australia Square was one of the earliest examples of the development of comfortable public open space on private land and continues to be a popular place for people to meet and relax.
